A successful health care practice with approximately 80 employees needed a managed services provider that could not only take over stewardship of their custom electronic medical record (EMR) system but also deliver no less than 2 minutes of downtime during critical periods of time.

Case Details

The practice, over time, developed a highly customized extension Web application that extended the capabilities of their commercial-of-the-shelf (CotS) electronic medical record system. The individual responsible for the development of application was moving on and the practice needed a partner capable of managing their IT infrastructure and maintain the code base used to drive revenue for the firm.
